After her professional dance career of 17 years, of which 15 years with Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Annemarie has retrained as a Behaviour Analyst MSc, Master Coach of Strategic Interventions and Movement Facilitator. Through her company 1stMove she guides people in the field of personal leadership, talent development, stress reduction and resilience.
With the movement programmes Move Well Active and Move Well Flow, she dances with people with neurological and chronic disorders as well as 55+ who want to stay fit and vital. She uses dance as a tool to improve the quality of life. Annemarie has 13 years of experience in the field of dance and health, where she provides classes for people with rheumatism, Parkinson’s, dementia and MS.
Annemarie believes that people want to get the best out of themselves, and so does she. The working method she uses in her classes, workshops and coaching enables people to work from their capabilities. She is convinced that the system with the most choices creates the most possibilities and that is why she applies a wide range of different movement and coaching techniques. The strength of the body runs like a thread through her working method.
For Scapino Ballet Rotterdam (the oldest dance company in the Netherlands, founded in 1945), Annemarie has developed various programmes in talent development, personal development, non-verbal communication, team building and creative thinking for people between 12 and 90 years old.
